From Outdated to Outstanding: A Kitchen Renovation in Mapperley

We recently completed an impressive transformation of an outdated kitchen in Mapperley, Nottinghamshire, evolving it into a spacious, modern kitchen-diner that balances functionality with style. The original layout featured a single-storey extension divided by a wall that confined the space. Our mission: open up the area to create an airy, inviting environment perfect for cooking and dining.

Maximizing Space and Light

One of the client's main requests was to replace the existing bay window with sophisticated French doors, seamlessly connecting the indoor space to the outdoors. Additionally, we bricked up the original back door and installed a larger window, allowing more natural light to flood the kitchen-diner. Achieving this required rerouting the gas supply, fully rewiring the kitchen for enhanced safety and functionality, and levelling the uneven concrete floor slab to match the main house's flooring.

Precision Craftsmanship and Finishes

Once the foundational and structural work was complete, we installed a brand-new, modern kitchen layout that met both aesthetic and practical needs. Radiators were strategically repositioned to optimize heating throughout the space, ensuring comfort during all seasons. Finally, we installed high-quality LVT (luxury vinyl tile) flooring, chosen for its durability and sleek appearance, giving the space a refined and resilient finish.
